My alerts don’t arrive

Check these settings on your iPhone or iPad:

The pass times differ from another app or website

Pass times are predictions based on the station’s latest orbit data. The station changes its orbit a few times a year, and each app updates its data at different times. A difference of a minute or two is normal. Open ISS Tracker to download the newest data.

There are no visible passes this week

You can only see the station when the sky is dark where you are and the station is in sunlight. Depending on the season and where you live, there can be days or weeks without a visible pass. The app shows the next one as soon as it’s in the 14-day list.

Why does the app need my location?

To calculate when the station passes over you and where to look. The calculation runs on your device, and your location is never sent to us. To change the permission, go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › ISS Tracker.

I don’t see the cloud forecast

The cloud forecast comes from Apple Weather. It appears when a forecast is available for the time of the pass, so passes far in the future may not have one yet.

The Live Activity doesn’t appear

Go to Settings › ISS Tracker and turn on Live Activities.
